Lord of My Life

Let all the bells of heaven ring,
Let cherubim & seraphs sing,
For I have found my Lord!

Let satan tempt to no avail!
His evil schemes will not prevail
Against my love & faith in the Lord!

Heavens gates will open wide,
And with my Lord I'll there abide,
When comes at last the Day of the Lord!

My Son, John

Oh, glorious day, oh! Wondrous joy
I've given birth, I have a boy!

A miracle beyond compare;
His tiny head, his downy hair.

His skin so soft . . . and pink . . . and sweet!
And oh! Such tiny little feet.

With suddenness the tears now start,
At such great joy within my heart.

This miracle I gaze upon
I'll call my little Howard John!

When times are dark & things seem drear
And Jesus doesn't seem so near,
Then talk to Him & lift your hands.
Remember, Jesus understands.

So tell Him all that's in your heart.
That's the best place you can start.
Then, filled with confidence & light,
Be reassured. He'll set things right.

Who Jesus is to Me

Jesus is my Shepherd.
He leads me every day,
Guides every faltering step I take
To keep me in the Way.

Jesus is my Master.
He's trod each path before,
He's mastered every phase of life
That now I travel o're.

Jesus is my Savior.
He saved me from my sin
He died upon the cross for me
That I might enter in.

Jesus is my Teacher.
He's teaching me to love
To serve & praise & honor Him
And seek my home above.

My Prayer for You

My Friend, I was thinking of you today
And felt that maybe I needed to pray
That God would be especially near
To comfort you or wipe away a tear.

If it's a trial that you're facing just now,
God will provide, tho' I don't know just how.
Nothing's too hard for our Father above,
Leading us thru' with His patience & love.

In the Word of God, written so long ago,
The Lord keeps telling us He loves us so.
Without Him we can do nothing, it's true.
But in His great strength we'll make it thru'.

I thank the Lord that you are my friend
And pray that our friendship will never end.
I'd give you a hug if I could be there,
But I know that The Lord keeps you in His care!

(Written to Bill Benninghoven)

"This is the Day the Lord made
Let us rejoice & be glad."
That Scripture is hard to believe
When you are feeling so bad.

Wish I could be there to cheer you
With some bright colored flower.
But God knows how you are feeling
And He is with you each hour.

He is "The God that heals us."
May He touch your body today
So You will experience healing.
For that I do earnestly pray!
