My Way, My Life

Lost! Without a single light!
Lost! In dark, eternal night!
Seeking, reaching for a "Something"!
Finding naught but night & wanting.

Lost in shameful, sinful ways,
I yearn for higher, holier days.
Seeking, reaching for a "Something",
Finding, having, knowing.....Nothing!

Then amidst the dark & night
I found Christ, who gave me light.
Tho' I was dead in all my sin,
I found my way, my life, thru' Him!

Through seeking, searching silent strife
I found the Everlasting Life!

The Christmas People
(Nursing Home Visitors)

Oh, Oh, that time will soon be here
When ""Christmas People"" will appear.
(They won't return until next year!)

They bring a Bible verse to share,
A candy cane, a Christmas prayer.
They act as if they really care!

This is how it's all begun:
They sing & share & have some fun
And then they think their ""duty's"" done.

They smile & say they will return.
Maybe some day they will learn
How for their visits we all yearn.

January winds soon blow,
My pain is bad, my spirit's low.
Those ""Christmas People"", where'd they go?

How very great His love must be
To live & die for one like me!
He lived His life a spotless lamb,
To welcome me "Just as I Am!"
He died upon a rugged cross
To save my soul from endless loss.
These things my Lord has done for me,
I'll live for Him eternally!

Dear Lord, help me willing be,
Whenever Thou hast need of me.
Help me use these hands today,
As Thou would have me, this I pray.
Take this mortal heart of mine,
And fill it with Thy love divine.
Be with me my whole life through,
And help me live, dear Christ, for You!

Beacon in the Night

So all alone I pondered in the night,
I felt within my heart an emptiness,
I knew that somewhere there must be a Light.
To show the way to peace & happiness.

And then one day I found a shining Light.
Lord Jesus was the Light that I'd longed for.
As Jesus led me safely out of night,
I trusted Him to lead me evermore!

Light, Truth & the Way

"Now is the Day of Salvation"
For you must decide today
Whether to accept or reject
The Light, the Truth & the Way.

Just stop now & think for a moment,
No one can really desire
Eternal separation from God
The everlasting torment of fire!

You've only to trust in the Savior
Surrender completely today
And Jesus will enter your heart.
He's the Light, the Truth & the Way!
