The Hunger Within

"I'll be your Server," he heard her say
Just as he bowed his head to pray,
"Thank you for giving us food today."

She said, "We'd like to fulfill every wish.
Do you want some ketchup or an extra dish?"
"Yes!" he nodded while devouring some fish."

She said, "More to drink or additional ice?"
"Oh, yes, and a little more chicken & Rice,
And a few more tomatoes would also be nice."

"How would you like some more ham?" she said.
"That would be nice," he nodded his head.
"And more baked beans & a basket of bread!"

To get this lesson isn't so tough.
Sometimes we feel we're not getting enough
Even though we just stuff, stuff & stuff!

If you'll open your heart & invite Christ inside,
He'll fill all the emptines & there He'll abide.
Then truly, at last, you'll feel satisfied!

Do You Love Him?

Do you praise your Master?
Is joy within your heart?
Do you witness to the lost
And His great love impart?

Do you serve your Master?
Do you unceasing, pray?
Do you seek His holy Will
And strive to live His way?

Do you thank your Master
For His watchful care,
For salvation, wondrous gift,
For love beyond compare?

"No man can serve two masters!"
If you love Christ today,
Then give your all-in-all to Him,
And strive to live His Way!

My Oasis

Christ is my oasis
In life's dry desert land.
My cool spot of refreshment
Amidst the burning sand.

Thru' life's wide wilderness I crawled,
Much burdened & oppressed.
And then I found along the way
A wondrous place of rest!

A spring where living waters flowed,
Abundant, cool & free.
To come & drink & have my fill,
HE was inviting me.

Yes, Christ is my oasis:
Providing from above,
The only shade life's desert has,
HIS gentle, constant love!

God's Love Is Like A Waterfall

Last month I walked a path of mental anguish
Much burdened down with dread disease & pain.
Then Lord, You came, with Mighty Healing Power.
You touched & healed, restored my life again.
The Doctors could not offer any hope.
"Bell's Palsy" leaves a deformed, twisted face.
But Lord, You came & did a Miracle.
Oh, Lord, you blessed & healed me by your Grace.
With tearful words I thank You for your Mercy,
Abundant, fresh & flooding over me.
Your Love is great & never, ever ending.
It's always flowing down continually.

Last week I walked within a vernal woodland,
Your Presence hovered over me with Love.
I stood beside a gushing waterfall.
It did not cease as it flowed from above.

Have You Been Born Again?

Do you call yourself a Christian?
Are you sure that you can say
That you've given all to Christ,
Surrendered all the way?

If you've not, then you are lost
And my friend, you cannot say
That you're one of God's own children
And He leads you all the way.

Let Christ be your Savior now.
Time's so short you can't delay.
For there may not be "tomorrow"!
Give your all to Christ today!

A Living Sacrifice

A fresh anointing, new each day,
For this, Oh, Lord, I humbly pray.
My vow to You, I make with Zeal.
And that with holy oil I seal.

My right ear, that your voice I'd hear.
My right thumb, to do what you want done.
My right toe, to walk where you'd have me go!

Let me live my life for you
Just as the Bible taught me to. . .
A Living Sacrifice!
